Hawk Meadow Farm is a 68 acre working woodland mushroom farm. Our camp sites are spacious and private. A generous amount of firewood is included with your booking! All of our sites can be accessed by car. Our farm specializes in log-grown woodland mushrooms such as shiitake, lion's mane, turkey tail and oyster. We use the mushrooms to make medicinal tinctures and sell fresh or dried to local area restaurants. Visit our farm store while you are here! We usually have fresh shiitakes available for purchase as well as our other farm products. We follow organic methods and sustainable practices in all that we do, and our farm is inspired by the principles of permaculture. We have a great love and respect for the natural world and strive to work in harmony with nature not only in all our agricultural practices, but in just living our lives. 10/10!!!

Whether you want to hang at the campsite, learn about shiitake, visit a winery, or explore downtown Ithaca, Hawk Meadow gives you the opportunity to see it all. Steve’s care for the land is evident, and we learned so much from him about the world of mushrooms and forest management. Truly a beautiful site. We will definitely be back!!

Perfect spot in the Finger Lakes

This was the best camping site we have had since getting our little trailer. It was private and surrounded by a wild forest. For birders there was a wide variety. Steve and Ann were great hosts. Steve took time from his busy day to teach us about his mushroom production. What an honor!

Perfect Spot to Camp!

Really liked this spot! Steve was great communicating details for trip. There's a fire ring, plenty of wood and a foldable grill to place over the fire for cooking. Plenty of room for both shade and sun - whatever your preference. At night the sky was decorated with tons of stars, perfect for winding down after a long day. With an outhouse just down the road, this is a perfect spot for a camping experience with just the right amount of amenities. Highly recommend! Thanks again Steve!

Peaceful start to Autumn

I loved spending time at Hawk Meadow Farm. This was my first time solo camping and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Steve and Anne are such lovely hosts and their property is wonderful. I stayed at The Pines site and I must say, the stars are stunning there. I spent time wandering the grounds and strolled through the mushroom farm. It was such a treat! I had such a wonderful time and I would absolutely do it again.
